ALANNA FLANAGAN BOLDT L.AC., DIPL. O.M.

Alanna Flanagan Boldt came to acupuncture after rupturing her hamstring. As with many patients, acupuncture was a last resort. Three days after her first treatment, she was sold. Acupuncture, tui-na, gua sha, cupping, diet change and herbal medicine shifted her perspective on how to best care for her wellness and prevent future injuries.

She received her master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University, graduating 2nd in her class. Alanna learned Japanese-style acupuncture, in the tradition of Kiiko Masumoto, at Children's Hospital Los Angeles as a member of the pain clinic. As such, she practices the hara-based approach to acupuncture, using a minimal number of points, specializing in sports injury, fertility, digestive and preventative care.

In addition, Alanna lectures and moderates panels as an advocate of Traditional Asian Medicine. Additionally, she and her husband, also an acupuncturist, offer continuing education classes to other acupuncturists.

Prior to receiving her master’s degree, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California.
